This week saw the much-anticipated release of the sequel of the 2013 Bollywood hit movie Fukrey, called ‘Fukrey Returns’. It released on 8th of December. The main characters-the Fukrey boys- Pulkit Samrat as Hunny (looker), Ali Fazal aka Zafar (thinker), Choocha played by Varun Sharma (dreamer) and Manjot Singh as Lali (the sidekick) in this sequel go in search of a reason to spread chaos and the main theme revolves around Choocha’s god gift i.e. able to see the future and Richa Chadha as the same badass girl back for her vengeance from this Fukrey boys. Earlier Yo Yo Honey Singh was making his come back with this movie but on last moment, he changed his mind. Now “Dil Chori Sada Ho Gaya” released with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety movie.

In the prequel back in 2013, Varun Sharma aka Choocha was forced to sleep in order to wake up with a bamboozling lottery-winning dream. In this sequel, he is made to make use of this gift and apprehend another lottery winning sequence. We can very well mark that there are numerous insignificant details and this is the only new thing. The lady don, Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha) uses a politician to get out of the jail to which she was sent to a year back, only to find herself, and the rest, getting used by him in return.

Richa Chadha nails it with her badass attitude; her chemistry with Choocha is worth a watch. It’s a rollercoaster ride of laughter all around. Pankaj Tripathy’s comic timing is class apart, you are only going to laugh when he delivers his dialogues but the soul of the movie and the sale value of the movie is Varun Sharma aka Choocha, without him this sequel is just incomplete. Rest of the cast did a fine work with no significant flaw in anyone’s performance.

The screenplay of this movie is quite good but somewhere you’ll find it a little stretched but it’s all fine because that won’t affect the audience as they are busy laughing. The inch-perfect dialogue delivery and the performances completely outstand the stretched timing and screenplay.

‘Fukrey Returns’ proves to be the classic example of how light time pass movie should really be. The entertainment value of this Bollywood movie deserves quite some applauds. It’s a complete family entertainment.

The movie is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who also directed the hugely popular prequel. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are the producers. Fukrey Returns shares the best unfolding of the main characters, popularly recognized as the Fukrey boys. It certainly is a laughter riot, perfect to be enjoyed by friends and family.
